Image DPI & Print Size Calculator
Estimate the print resolution of an image at a chosen physical size or see how large it can print at common 300-DPI and 150-DPI targets.

How this tool works
DPI in one direction = pixel count ÷ printed inches. Maximum print width at a target DPI = pixel width ÷ target DPI.
Example
A 3000-pixel-wide image printed 10 inches wide is 300 DPI; at 150 DPI the same image can span about 20 inches.
Common questions
Is DPI the same as image quality?
No. DPI describes pixel density at a physical output size. Sharpness also depends on source focus, noise, processing and viewing distance.
Does changing a DPI metadata tag add detail?
No. Real printable detail comes from pixel dimensions; changing metadata alone does not create pixels.
