Image Color Picker

Use an uploaded image as a local color sampler. The browser draws a scaled preview to canvas and reports the clicked pixel color.

HEX#000000
RGB0, 0, 0

How this tool works

Each pixel contains red, green and blue byte values from 0 to 255. HEX concatenates those values as two hexadecimal digits per channel.

Example

An RGB sample of 125, 211, 252 converts to the hexadecimal color #7DD3FC.

Common questions

Why can a sampled edge have unexpected colors?

Anti-aliasing, compression and scaling can blend neighboring pixels, especially around text and sharp edges.

Is the sampled color uploaded?

No. Sampling uses the browser canvas on the local image.
