Elapsed minutes are end minus start, with 24 hours added for an overnight shift, then unpaid break minutes are removed.

Common questions
Can the shift cross midnight?
Yes. An end time earlier than the start is treated as occurring the following day.
Does this apply rounding rules?
No. It reports raw elapsed time. Employer rounding policies and labor rules should be applied separately.
