Time Card Calculator
Calculate hours worked from daily clock-in and clock-out times, subtract unpaid breaks, then estimate regular hours, overtime hours and gross pay for the week.
This is a time-card estimate. Overtime rules, meal-break requirements, rounding policies and payroll law vary by employer and jurisdiction.
How this tool works
Daily hours = clock-out − clock-in − unpaid break. Weekly overtime is the portion above the selected threshold, multiplied by the selected overtime rate.
Example
Five 8.5-hour paid days total 42.5 hours. With overtime after 40 hours, 40 hours are regular and 2.5 hours are overtime.
Common questions
Can it handle an overnight shift?
Yes. If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator treats the shift as crossing midnight.
Are overtime laws the same everywhere?
No. Daily and weekly overtime rules vary by jurisdiction and employer, so verify the rule that applies to you.
